Can we provide our own food or beverages for an event?

The RBC Convention Centre is the exclusive supplier of all food & beverage services within the Centre. Check out our Catering and Beverage menus for a sense of the variety and selection that our Executive Chef has prepared for you.

Is there parking in the South Building? Is it open all the time?

We have two separate climate controlled underground parkades (North and South) with 729 parking stalls in total. Entrance to the North Parkade is off Carlton Street and is open 24/7. The entrance to the South Parkade is from the public alley at the south end of the building off either Carlton Street or Edmonton Street and is open weekdays 6 am – 4 pm unless there’s an event in the south building.

Is there public access into the South Buildling off Carlton Street?

The Carlton Street entrance is only open if there is an event taking place in the main floor York Ballroom.  Otherwise, our main public street entrance is off York Avenue and is open 24/7.

Is there a restaurant in the building?

Centre Place Café is the premier restaurant in the RBC Convention Centre and is located on the second floor of the north building at the York Avenue entrance. They’re open weekdays from 7 am to 3 pm serving breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks as well as some weekends during consumer show season. Check out their menu and daily specials.

Is the Convention Centre wheelchair accessibile?

We provide visitors with a fully accessible environment to ensure ease and enjoyment of all activities in and around the Convention Centre. If needed, complimentary transport chairs are available on a first-come first-served basis at our security desk on the second floor of the North Building.

Where is the security desk located?

There is 24-hour security in our building located in the North Building on the 2nd floor, across from the Centre Place Café and adjacent to the general office.

Is Wi-Fi I available on site?

Yes there is and it’s FREE! Thanks to TELUS’ free and friendly Wi-Fi, the service is open to everyone – not just TELUS customers. TELUS smartphones will automatically establish a secure connection to the #TELUSdirect network when they are in range. Non-TELUS customers can connect to #TELUS through a simple splash page to enjoy the same service.

Turn on Wi-Fi — select the #TELUS network — open a browser — enter your first & last name and email — accept terms — click submit — access your email and confirm your guest account message from TELUS — Happy browsing!

Is there a lost and found?

Yes – our Security department manages any lost items and can be reached at 204-957-4523.
