Do I have to wear a mask while attending an event at the Convention Centre?

Yes. To limit any potential health risks, all attendees, staff and anyone affiliated with an event, are required to wear masks. Masks are not required for children under the age of 5.

Yes, masks must remain on even while seated but can be removed temporarily when eating or drinking.

Will dancing be allowed at my event?

For sure!  Please remember though, masks must still be worn while on the dance floor.

I’ve heard you must be fully vaccinated to attend any event at the Convention Centre. Is this true?

Yes it is.  All people within an event space, whether a guest, 3rd party provider, vendor, staff or otherwise, must be fully vaccinated (two doses of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine plus two weeks). Children who do not meet the current vaccination minimum age requirements are welcome but must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated caregiver.

What proof of vaccination do I need to provide?

We will be asking to see your Manitoba Immunization Card (physical or digital) along with photo ID to verify your identity.

Can I show a negative COVID test?

No. A negative test result will not be accepted as an alternative to the immunization requirements we require.

If I’m from out of province, what proof of vaccination will I need?

The Province of Manitoba has prepared a list of documents and samples that are considered valid forms of immunization issued by the provinces and territories. Visit their website for more information.  Provincial Immunization Record Samples.

If I’m just passing through your building and headed to the skywalk, do I need to show proof of vaccination?

No. Feel free to walk through but we ask you remember to practice the fundamentals – wear a mask at all times and keep your distance from others along the way.

I’m attending a multi-day event. Do I need to show proof of vaccination every day?

We suggest reaching out to your event organizer. We’re working with each client to create solutions specific to their events.
