Concerts & Convention Take Centre Stage at RBC Convention Centre

The RBC Convention Centre will be the place to be this July with concerts and events geared towards fans of all ages.

On Monday July 3rd, American hip hop artist RUSS will make a stop in Winnipeg during his 40 city North American Wake Up Tour.

Singer-songwriter and record producer, RUSS will share his ability to rap, sing and effortlessly tell a story that connects with his fans on a personal level.  Every ticket purchased on line comes with a choice of a standard physical or digital copy of his debut album.

The summer fun continues when two of Southern California’s “most prolific bands,” Sublime With Rome and The Offspring team up for dates across Canada. The iconic, genre-defining groups will be hitting the stage at RBC Convention Centre on Wednesday July 12th.

Crowd favourite Ai-Kon, Manitoba’s premiere anime, manga and Japanese culture convention returns to the convention centre July 21-23.

The 16th annual summer convention is the largest in western Canada that runs 24 hours for three straight days. With attractions for everyone and every age group, organizers are anticipating the best year yet.

Ai-Kon brings fans together across Canada by securing international guests from the anime and manga industry, as well as providing outlets for gaming, cinema, and Japanese culture groups and organizations. The convention includes gameshows, j-pop dance workshops, anime/manga related panels, guest signings, anime viewing rooms with featured exclusive screenings, a large exhibit hall selling Asian pop culture merchandise, late night dance parties, the costume contest, and much more. All weekend children 12 and under are free with a paying adult.
